BUSSW Alumni Association Announces First Overseas Chapter

A new milestone in the BUSSW Alumni Association has been reached—-establishment of the first chapter overseas. Barbara Kondilis-Petropoulos, a MSW/MPH graduate in 1998 and 1999, respectively, is serving as the chapter representative. She lives in Athens, Greece.

Barbara currently is the Coordinator of Student Affairs, a researcher, and a part-time faculty member with the Hellenic American Union and Hellenic American University. Prior to moving to Greece, she was Chronic Care Collaborative Project Coordinator with the Rhode Island Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and Control Program.

As is the case with other board members, Barbara will be speaking with prospective applicants interested in Boston University School of Social Work and assisting with career development activities among fellow graduates.

The School’s Alumni Association now has 18 chapters covering 33 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, and Europe.
