Dean Gail Steketee proudly announces the School’s first $1 million individual gift from a BUSSW alumna who wishes to remain anonymous.
The gift, to be disbursed over five years, will be used to support student scholarships, as well as special initiatives at the School. Dean Steketee shared, "This generous gift from one of our alumni will allow us to continue educating the best and brightest in social work. We are extremely grateful to the donor and are excited to be able to advance the field of social work for generations to come."
In this first year of the gift, $100,000 will boost the endowment of the Richard B. DeWolfe Scholarship Fund, which was established in 2008; $75,000 will be credited to The Dean’s Fund for current-use student scholarships and field stipends; and $25,000 will support specific programmatic initiatives of interest to the donor. The use of subsequent giving will be determined each ensuing year.
