Dean Jorge Delva and Diane Crowley, lecturer and director of the Fall River campus, share their experiences bringing voter registration to Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) at a virtual panel discussion on supporting civic engagement on campus and beyond. The event is hosted by Voting Is Social Work and features social work deans and directors from Clark Atlanta University, University of North Carolina – Wilmington, St. Ambrose University and University of St. Thomas, alongside Delva and Crowley.

Dean Jorge Delva, a nationally recognized expert on substance use and ethnic health inequalities, is director and Paul Farmer Professor of the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health at BUSSW. Through his research and leadership positions, he seeks to expand social work’s role in public health.

Diane Crowley is a lecturer, director of the Fall River campus, and leader of BUSSW Votes, the School’s voting engagement initiative which aims to bridge the gap between social work and civic engagement.
