Albert L. Long, 1857
Albert Long served as a missionary in Bulgaria. It was said by his admirers that he spoke almost as many languages as the Apostles at Pentecost. Among his other accomplishments, Long translated the Bible into Slavic. The Zion’s Herald exclaimed, “If the Theological Institute at Concord had done nothing more than to produce this one man and this one work, it were worth the time, the labor and the money bestowed upon it.”
