Frank Lincoln Goodspeed (1891)

Screen CaptureFrank Lincoln Goodspeed was born in Moretown, Vermont on March 15, 1861. After attending the Montpelier Seminary, Goodspeed earned his Bachelor’s degree from Harvard. He pursued his divinities studies at Boston University, and graduated in 1891. Upon graduation, Goodspeed entered the Congregational ministry, and was the pastor of the Mattapoisett, Amherst, and Springfield congregations in Massachusetts, before moving to the First Presbyterian Church in Oakland, California.

Goodspeed was on the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, acted as a College preacher at Amherst and Williams Colleges, and occupied the presidency of the Connecticut Valley Congregational and Reality Clubs.
