Roe Reamy Mitchell

Roe Reamy Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he earned a Litt.B. in 1908. Before arriving at the school of theology, he spent a year as a missionary among the Mormons in Utah. His friends at STH called him “R.R.” or “Rail Road.” Unlike many of his classmates, who were apt to run circles around every reading and question, R. R. seemed to have a little more trouble.

“R.R.” thinks the author is rather unclear,
And that Prof. puts the question quite poorly.
Poor fellow! It must be he cannot well hear,
And his eyes, they do bother hem sorely.
