BU Musicians Perform at Annual Symphony Hall Concert
The talented musicians from the BU College of Fine Arts School of Music returned to Boston’s fabled Symphony Hall March 31 for their annual concert. The Symphony Orchestra & Symphonic Chorus, conducted by Daniel Parsley, performed Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, featuring countertenor soloist Sergio Raúl Savala (CFA’26). The Wind Ensemble, led by conductor Kenneth Amis (CFA’91), performed Arnold Rosner’s Symphony No. 8, Op. 84, Trinity. The Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Sarah Ioannides (above), performed Richard Strauss’ Suite from Der Rosenkavalier, Op. 59, and Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé, Suite No. 2, with the Symphonic Chorus.
