Defining Genetic Contributors to Cancer Risk
Genetic factors influence susceptibility to cancer. Understanding how genes influence tumor cells and increase cancer risk is essential for advancing personalized medicine. Elucidating the mechanisms underlying the genetic underpinning of cancer risk will lead to novel insights that could revolutionize our approach to cancer prevention. Additionally, measuring genetic contributions to the cancer among specific populations will help direct priorities for population-based interventions.
