Innovations in surgery for urological malignancies
Urology is one of the most varied and heterogeneous specialties in the field of surgery. The particular conformation of the genitourinary system means that urological pathologies may require endoscopic, open, laparoscopic, robotic and reconstructive surgery treatments. This variability in surgical approaches also applies to the field of treatment of genitourinary neoplasms, and often means that urology is among the first to be influenced by technological evolution in the surgical field. In this special series we aim to provide an update of the current practical and technological innovations in the management of genitourinary neoplasms.
