Innovations and Impact: The Role of Ultrasound in Undergraduate Medical Education
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is transforming clinical practice across numerous medical specialties, and its integration into undergraduate medical education has gained increasing attention in recent years. Ultrasound offers a dynamic, visual, and interactive modality for teaching anatomy, physiology, clinical reasoning, and procedural skills. Medical schools worldwide are recognizing its pedagogical value and are piloting curricular innovations that bring ultrasound training to students early in their careers.
